Who is the NBCA?

In New Brunswick the NBCA serves as both the regulatory body (college) and association.

All chiropractors in the province must be members of the association.

The New Brunswick Chiropractors Association works to empower and support NB chiropractors as leaders in neuromusculoskeletal health.

Our members are trusted spine, muscle and nervous system experts who work to help improve patients’ pain, function and quality of life. Licensed chiropractors must be graduates of an accredited college or university, and have successfully completed the national licensing exams.

The chiropractic profession is regulated in all ten Canadian provinces. In New Brunswick, chiropractic was first legislated in 1958.

Strategic Plan

  • Supporting New Brunswick Chiropractors and improving access to collaborative, high quality, patient-centred neuromusculoskeletal care.

  • Excellence in practice.

  • Collaborative care.

  • Commitment to a healthier New Brunswick

Supporting this Mission and Vision are three Strategic Pillars - each of these Pillars encapsulates an area of work that the NBCA has identified as a valuable priority for the coming years. In the service of its Mission, to bring about its Vision, the NBCA will focus strategic efforts especially in the following areas:

Membership Support & Engagement

Focusing on the ways in which the NBCA functions as a membership-based Association, this pillar seeks to better engage members, provide increased opportunities for them to participate, and to ensure that it is able to provide deep, lasting, and meaningful support to all of its members.

Patient Experience & Scope of Practice

Focusing on the role of the NBCA in ensuring high-quality care and health outcomes, this pillar strives to continually improve the environment in which all NBCA members practice, ensuring that their patients receive the highest-quality experience and care possible.

Stakeholders & Collaboration

Further developing the role of the NBCA within our entire healthcare system, this pillar focuses on the ways that the NBCA will communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with the Government of New Brunswick and with other healthcare providers throughout our system to ensure the most effective and robust possible fulfilment of its Mission and Strategic Plan.

NBCA Leadership & Representatives

We work to support our members and patients locally, but have also built strong relationships with other chiropractic associations and stakeholders from across the country.
