Leave of Absence is offered to NBCA members with the yearly approvalÂ
of the Board and defined in the bylaws (s)14:
14(1) A member who
(a) is a member in good standing;
(b) is on a leave of absence from the practice of chiropractic; and
(c) provides to the Board a statutory declaration confirming (b),
may maintain their registration as a member while on the leave of absence for a period of up to one (1) year.
14(2) A member on a leave of absence may thereafter extend their leave for one (1) additional year provided that continuing education requirements are met, all necessary fees are paid, and any other
requirements as mandated by the Board are fulfilled including, but not limited to, the requirements set
out in subsection (1).
14(3) A member on a leave of absence who fails to pay fees to the Association for two (2) consecutive years shall be deemed to have resigned from the Association.
14(4) After two (2) consecutive years of a leave of absence, the member must successfully complete the CCEB re-certification examination to maintain registration as an active or part-time member.
An administrative fee of $ 70.00 must accompany this application for consideration by the Board. Other membership fees will apply when the application is approved.
