Who can chiropractors help?

Chiropractors are extensively trained in the assessment, diagnosis, prevention and management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Once a comprehensive examination is completed, a chiropractor can recommend a course of treatment to help alleviate pain while improving function based on the patient's goals and preferences.

Chiropractors use non-invasive, hands-on treatment options including manipulation and mobilization of the joints, soft tissue therapies, exercise, modalities and patient education. In addition, chiropractors are also trained in lifestyle counselling and can recommend injury prevention strategies.

Chiropractors commonly treat:

  • Low back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Headaches including migraines

  • Whiplash associated disorders

  • Disc(ogenic) pain

  • Sciatica and leg pain

  • Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand pain

  • TMJ (jaw) pain

  • Vertigo

  • Knee, ankle and foot pain

  •

Chiropractors also treat a number of special populations including athletes, pregnant women, seniors, workers and families.
